Trails-End Bar near Kim, Colorado

I past on highway 160 early in the day. I hardly noticed the signs but "Simple Man" (Lynyrd Skynyrd song) was on so i stopped. 

For couple of hours i set down with the owner. Drinking, looking at the posters, playing songs on the old music machine, and hearing stories about good old America.

    What great memories of this bar. For over twenty years in the 80s into the 90s, 6 of us would come to Kim to hunt antelope. We camped on Boyd Roses property, wher his parents home burned down. What a great couple, Monte Simmons allowed us to hunt, Then nightly we outdoors go to town, , go Rosie trailer Nextdoor to the bar, open it, have a few, play pool couldn’t find a seat in the big overstuffed chairs , because all the dogs had taken them!, if anyone sees Monte, tell min hi , and thanks, he i still around I hope, please share that 5 of the 6 hunters have passed on, I am the long survivor at 82 yrs old . Hi to all, great memories! One other was Rosie could not find he keys so she booted the front door in, Even the game warden came to our camp and had a coke! Thx again, the Detectives

    The original trail ends bar at Kim Colorado was owned by Sarah Burnell and it was opened in early 50s considered the hotspot,

  I picked Sheila (pseudonym of course) up from her place in the city. We met two years ago, but haven't talked a lot since. The plan was to have a nice day trip to Gevey Peres, a mostly dry desert river in the Eastern Negev desert. After some shopping we left the city. ייאוש. טוטאלי. היום דווקא התחיל באווירה טובה. יצאתי מהקמפסייט ליד הפירמידות המדהימות שבמקסיקו סיטי - Teotihuacan, מאושר, כמעט בלי צרות בחיים. חוץ מכמה בעיות זניחות אצל פיט (האופנוע הנאמן שלי) הכל היה בסדר. התחלתי להתגלגל לכיוון אי הבובות המתות - The Island of the Dolls  - La Isla de las Muñecas. אי קטן ומפחיד שתלויות בו אלפי בובות קריפיות בטירוף. לפי הסיפור, האיש שגר באי, תלה את הבובות כדי להפחיד ולהבריח רוח של ילדה שמתה באי. הנה כמה תמונות. בבוקר שמתי לב שפיט מתניע עם קושי. חשבתי שזה הקור. לא ייחסתי לזה חשיבות. בפרברי מקסיקו-סיטי העמוסה זה קרה. ביציאה מהרמזור. בלי אזהרה מוקדמת. אין חשמל. פיט מת. הידרדרתי בקושי לשול וניסיתי עוד כמה פעמים להתניע. כלום. הכביש היה רחב ועמוס מאוד. ומישורי. בחור גרמני שרכבתי איתו כמה שבועות ובדיוק נפרדו דרכינו, לימד אותי איך להתניע אופנוע בלי חשמל (להקפיץ קלאצ'). זה לא עבד. חשבתי לבקש ממישהו כבלים, אבל לא היה מצב לעצור שם רכב, לא היה שול לכביש. החלטתי לנסות את הטריק של אולף שוב (הבחור הגרמני). אולי בירידה זה יעבוד. גררתי את האופנוע בדחיפה לאט, ליציאה ה...
